What is tiny desk?

A concert
at a desk.

tiny desk Maldives is a monthly live music series. One artist sits behind a desk and plays a stripped-back set of originals, covers, or both, for a room of thirty people. There's no stage and no big sound system. It's just the songs, close enough to hear every breath.

A new artist every month. Different musicians and different sounds: singers, bands, beatmakers, anyone with an instrument and something to say.

Stripped back. Played live and mostly unplugged, so you hear what the songs are really made of.

Thirty seats, no walk-ins. Tickets only. The room is small and quiet, and everyone in it came to listen.

Filmed and shared. Every set is recorded and posted here, along with the artist's own words about the night.

01 — Watch

Each artist gets a folder with their full performance and their own words on playing the desk.

02 — Sessions

Coming up

One session a month. The artist is announced ahead of time, and the location goes only to ticket holders.

    03 — Tickets

    Get a seat

    Transfer on BML and upload your slip. Once we've checked it, your ticket page shows a QR code that gets scanned at the door.

    Slips are usually checked within a few hours. Keep the link you're given, because your ticket appears there.

    04 — Play the desk

    You don't need to be signed or famous, just someone who sounds like themselves. Tell us who you are and send a clip.

    How often is it on?

    Once a month, with a different artist every time.

    How do tickets work?

    Transfer the ticket price to our BML account and upload the slip on this page. Once we've matched the payment, your ticket page shows a QR code. Show it at the door.

    Where is it?

    In Malé. The exact location comes with your ticket.

    Can I get a refund?

    Message us at least 48 hours before the session and we'll move your booking or refund you.

    Can I film?

    Please don't. Every set is filmed properly and posted here afterwards.
